- Payroll records, including payroll period dates, timesheets, payslips, gross pay, deductions, net pay and approval status.
- Bank details entered for payroll administration, including business source account details and staff destination account details.
- Uploaded images, such as company logos.
2. How We Use Information
The information entered into SME Payroll is used to:
- Create and manage payroll records.
- Record staff working time.
- Calculate staff pay based on hours, rates, allowances and deductions.
- Generate timesheets and payslips.
- Export payroll files, including CSV and bank upload files.
- Display company details and logos on payroll documents.
- Manage multiple businesses under one user account.
- Support app functionality and user experience.
3. Payroll and Bank Processing
SME Payroll may allow users to enter business bank details and staff bank details for payroll preparation and export.
The current version of SME Payroll does not directly transfer money, debit bank accounts or credit staff accounts. Payroll processing is prepared through export files and approval workflows. Any future direct bank payment feature would require connection to a licensed banking or payment provider and may require additional terms, permissions and legal compliance.
4. Data Storage
In the current version, SME Payroll stores payroll information locally on the user's device using app storage. Users are responsible for managing and protecting access to their device.
If future versions include cloud backup, online accounts, payment processing or server storage, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain how that data is stored and protected.
5. Data Sharing
SME Payroll does not sell user data.
Information may only be shared when:
- The user exports payroll files, payslips, timesheets or bank upload files.
- The user chooses to send or share documents outside the app.
- It is required by law, regulation, legal process or government request.
- A future payment, banking or cloud service provider is connected with user permission.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to help protect information handled by SME Payroll. However, no app, device or electronic storage method is completely secure.
Users should protect their device, login details, payroll records and exported files. Users should only enter payroll and bank information they are authorized to manage.
7. User Control
Users can update, edit, export or delete payroll information inside the app. Users can also remove app data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app from their device.
8. Children's Privacy
SME Payroll is intended for business owners, payroll administrators and adult users. It is not designed for children and is not directed to users under 18 years of age.
9. Third-Party Services
SME Payroll may use Google Play services for app distribution and may later use Google Play Billing for subscriptions. Google's own privacy policies apply to Google Play services.
Future versions may connect to payment, banking, cloud storage or authentication providers. If such services are added, this Privacy Policy will be updated.
